Description
This is a berry flavored balsa wood chew toy for rabbits and rodents. It includes flavored balsa wood, sisal rope, jute rope, hardwood pieces and a nickel plated ring. Each flavored piece of balsa is separated by a hardwood round or square bead.
The flavors include (in order): Blueberry (rectangle), Strawberry (triangle), Blackberry (rectangle), Raspberry (triangle) and Cranberry (rectangle).
The balsa wood is flavored using 100% fruit and fruit juices without any artificial flavoring, coloring or added sugar.
We recommend this berry flavored chew toy for bunnies and rodents, specially those who typically aren’t interested in your typical wood toy.
Each toy measures over 12″ in length and 2″ in width.
Balsa wood is a softer hardwood and safe for rabbits and other small animals to chew. Our balsa wood comes from a US supplier who imports it from where it is grown, in Ecuador. All balsa is treated with heat only before entering the US.
These toys are handmade in USA by our friends from Fun 4 Bunnies & Friends. They are a small business that started in December 2008 when they realized they couldn’t find chew toys for their own rabbits. The few toys they found were hardwood and their bunnies were never interested in them. It took a few years for them to figure out the best way to flavor wood. The toys are made in a smoke-free home. Their toys are all made on a floor in their house where pets aren’t allowed, ensuring toys are never around other animals.
All toys are handmade using safe flavored balsa and will be unique. The one you will receive might differ slightly from the one in the pictures. The arrangement of flavors and the shape of the flavor may differ. The drying process is extensive so the toys will last packaged for quite some time, but the coloring can vary depending on the type of fruit & fruit juice used.
New toys should always be given under close supervision.
