🔍 Lack of space affects our pets’ health, since it limits the possibilities of enrichment, hygiene and exercise. Muscles and joints debilitate, our small friend gets stressed and digestive illnesses appear. That makes our pet suffer and causes behavioral problems. However, if they have enough space, they jump, run, explore, have fun, are happy… None of that is possible in a conventional cage.

Guinea pigs must have enough space to move when they are locked in their habitat. Even though they will be looking forward to come out of their enclosure, they need to feel comfortable while we can’t watch them and keeping them inside is necessary.

The minimum enclosure size for one or two guinea pigs is 2 m² in one floor. We must add 1 m² for every extra guinea pig. This is the minimum size, but ideally we should give them as much space as possible.

🌿 ECO-FRIENDLY: Did you know design is the most important factor when it comes to making sustainable products? The Loved Hamster’s modular playpens & habitats have such a dynamic design they can adopt ANY form you want! That extends their life as you can turn them into cages or playpens for other species of animals, as well as you could very easily turn them into storage boxes, hideouts or even a shelving system!

🐹 At The Loved Hamster, we are very wary about small pets well-being, and we sell products we even use with our own pets.

*Guinea pigs shouldn’t live on their own as they need company of individuals of the same species.
